Advertising Guide and Procedures - Introduction
Human Resources (HR) is pleased to provide this advertising guide for placing ads while recruiting for open job positions. If you need assistance at any time while placing an ad, please don't hesitate to contact an HR Employment Advisor.
Helpful information regarding advertising for open positions:
- University departments are solely responsible for costs associated with external advertising. Human Resources is available to assist in writing and approving ads, and will place ads with the Tucson Newspapers, and the Arizona Republic.
- Direct billing is now available with the Tucson Newspapers, Inc. (Arizona Daily Star and Tucson Citizen), and the Arizona Republic. Payment for employment advertising is to be made using the
University of Arizona Purchasing Card (MasterCard) or issuing a
Check Request through Procurement and Contracting Services. The preferred payment method is the University of Arizona Purchasing Card. PLEASE NOTE: In order for the entire University to maintain direct billing status, all payments must be made promptly.
- Other publications may also accept the University of Arizona Purchasing Card (MasterCard) for employment advertisements. Otherwise, advertisements may be paid for through Procurement and Contracting Services by issuing a Check Request following the advertisement or by Prepaid Purchase Order prior to placing the advertisement order.
