Outside of open enrollment periods, enrollment changes to pre-tax plans are permitted only in the case of a qualified Life Event change (e.g. birth of a child, marriage, divorce, death, change in spouse's employment, change in dependent status). Life Event changes must be requested in writing within 31 days of the date of the status event.
