Domestic Partner Tuition Program Overview

The University of Arizona offers a Domestic Partner Tuition Program (DPTP) to qualified university employees who have domestic partners.

Qualified employees are those faculty, administrators, and professional and classified staff whose employment is 50 percent time or greater for a period of at least six months. Legal dependents of eligible domestic partners also may participate in this program.

Domestic partners who participate in DPTP will be eligible to attend classes at the UA for $25 per semester, plus all mandatory fees. Their dependents will be eligible to attend for 25 percent of the base tuition price for their field of study, plus all mandatory fees.

UA employees and their domestic partners must provide evidence of registration with an entity such as the City of Tucson Domestic Partnership Registry for their partners and their partners' eligible dependents to participate in DPTP. For complete guidelines about the City of Tucson Domestic Partnership Registry, visit the city's website at http://www.ci.tucson.az.us/hottopics/dprreg.html.
