Voting Leave - Appointed Personnel
Definition
All Appointed Personnel are granted reasonable paid time off for voting purposes.
Eligibility
- Employee is registered to vote in the general or special election polls.
- Employee is eligible for this leave if polls are open less than three hours before the employee's regular work shift or close less than three hours after the end of the employee's regular work shift.
Procedure
- Request shall be made prior to the election day.
- Supervisor may specify the time of day the employee may be absent.
What Happens to Your Benefits?
- This leave has no impact on the employee's benefits.
