Limited Term Adjunct Faculty Appointment Resources
Effective July 1, 2011, units will have the opportunity to hire Limited Term Adjunct faculty for contract periods of 18 weeks or less. In addition to being covered by Chapter 3 of UHAP and Section 6-201 of the ABOR Policy Manual, the attributes of limited term adjunct faculty include:
- Offer letter and Notice of Appointment will specify a flat rate for teaching the class
- Systems Control will calculate the bi-weekly rate to be paid out over the duration of the contract
- FTE of .49 or less (computed using .056 FTE per credit hour taught)
- Position is not eligible for retirement and health/welfare benefits
