Researches and recommends enhancements/updates to compensation and reward systems, including

• salary programs
• job classification systems
• health/welfare insurance, flexible spending account, and standard and voluntary supplemental retirement plans
• financial education.

Compensation and Benefits Analysis Team

Provides timely and accurate HR-related information to applicants, and assists employees and managers with enrollment and questions on the following benefit offerings

• medical
• dental
• vision
• short term and long term disability insurance
• life insurance
• standard and voluntary supplemental retirement plans
• flexible spending accounts
• COBRA administration (Continuation of benefits after loss of benefits eligibility)

Leaves of Absence and Pre-Retirement Planning Unit

Assists employees and managers with the various leaves of absence programs including

• family medical leave
• personal leave of absence
• compassionate transfer of leave
• short term and long term disability claims

Provides specialized pre-retirement workshops for participants in the Arizona State Retirement System and the Optional Retirement Plan who are within five years of retirement. Topics include

• health/welfare and life insurance continuation
• the Retiree Accumulated Sick Leave program
• return to work policies.
