Purpose of Classification:
Drives a light truck or van to pick up and deliver supplies, mail, cash, deposits, food and passengers.
Distinguishing Characteristics:
This is a specialized class and not part of a series. Working conditions - restricted movement and travel; lifts or carries heavy objects.
Example of Duties:
Drives a light truck to pick up and deliver supplies and mail. Transports passengers as required. Deposits checks and cash. Packages materials for delivery as required. Prepares records of pick up and delivery and vehicle maintenance. Obtains receipts, signatures or payments for deliveries.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge and skill in the operation of motor vehicles. Ability to effectively communicate.
Minimum Qualifications:
Six months experience driving motor vehicles. Possession of a current Arizona Class D driver's license upon employment. Note: This classification is meant to transport a maximum of fifteen (15) passengers. A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is not required.
