    Temporary Agencies

     

    Temporary employment agencies play an important role in helping The University of Arizona fill short-term staffing needs.

    Advantages to Hiring Departments:

    • Effective and timely means for filling short-term staffing needs
    • Opportunity to evaluate skills of temp agency staff who may apply for UA openings in your area

    Disadvantages to Hiring Departments:

    • Cost
    • Should not use temp agency staff instead of hiring a more cost-effective and perhaps better qualified temporary UA employee under the terms of a non-competitive hire (CSPM Policy #117.0)
