is the UA Talent Network? The University of Arizona is implementing a UA internal talent pool to support departments with short‐term staffing needs.
Currently the University temporary employment service includes five different job categories: - Administrative/Professional
- Computer & Technology
- Research
- Adjunct Teaching/Instruction
- Trades & Maintenance
The non‐benefits eligible pool postings for these five categories are general in nature and should not be interpreted as advertisement for a specific position. Applications will be accessed by hiring departments when temporary staffing needs arise. The title and salary will be determined at the time a position is filled. | | is eligible to apply to the UA Talent Network?
- Current, non‐exempt
employees with less than 1.0 FTE who are available to work up to a 1.0 FTE and exempt employees available to work a maximum of 176 hours of supplemental compensation per fiscal year; - Former employees with one year of UA work experience at .49 FTE or greater; and,
- UA retirees.

| | is the process for the UA Talent Network different from the regular application process?
- Applicants are applying to be considered for potential job openings rather than applying for a specific job posting.
- The postings are listed under a fictional department called “UA Talent Network,” rather than a specific UA department. Job titles begin with “UA Talent Network” to simplify search functionality.
- Applicants are asked to submit an application form, resumé and a skills inventory form.
- Hiring departments can use the skills inventory to identify applicants that meet selection criteria for their short term staffing needs.
